The Child Development, Child Welfare Network, Mental Health, and Anti-Drug Committee Meeting was held on 3rd of October 2025, at the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat, under the esteemed leadership of the Divisional Secretary, Mrs. Namasivayam Sathyanandhi, at the Divisional Secretariat conference hall.
The meeting was attended by several officials, including the Manmunai West Pradeshiya Sabha Secretary, Assistant Divisional Secretary, Health Medical Officer, District Child Rights Development Officer, District Child Welfare Officer, District Women's Development Officer, Police Officers, officials from the Regional Education Office, and staff from the Divisional Secretariat.
The meeting also covered discussions on various important topics, including school dropout rates, obtaining birth certificates for students, raising awareness about child sexual abuse, how to curb child marriages, discussions on children involved in substance abuse, and a discussion on the Sarojah Project.
