A Divisional meeting on child development, gender issues, mental health, and drug prevention was held at the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat on 31st of March 2026 under the Divisional Secretary’s leadership.
Officials from health, education, child protection, and NGOs participated. Key discussions focused on reducing school dropouts, ensuring birth registration, raising awareness on gender based and domestic violence, preventing early marriages, addressing youth drug abuse, and reviewing the “Saroja” program.
The meeting concluded with decisions aimed at improving the safety and well-being of children.
