An awareness training program for youth regarding the use of the Official Language was held on July 9, 2026, at the Divisional Secretariat conference hall. Organized by the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat under the Ministry of Justice and National Integration, the event was held in observance of Official Language Week.
This event was held under the guidance of the Divisional Secretary, Mrs. Namasivayam Sathiyananthi, and presided over by the Deputy Director of Planning, Mrs. S. Thanuja.
District Secretariat officials Mr. Puviraj and Mr. Chandrakumar participated as resource persons in the training program, providing valuable insights into the use and importance of the official language and the necessity of delivering services to the public with bilingual proficiency.
National Integration Officer Mr. K. Sritharan, along with numerous young men and women from the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat area, participated in this event and benefited from the training.
