Under the Clean Sri Lanka National Programme, backed by the Sri Lanka Army, the Aththam National Cleanliness Day was successfully conducted on August 8, 2026, across the Pansenai Grama Niladhari Division within the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat.
Guided by the theme "Beautiful Country – Smiling People," the massive volunteer cleanup was led by Divisional Secretary Mrs. Sathiyananthi Namasivayam and graced by Chief Guest Hon. MP and District Coordinating Committee Chairman Mr. K. Prabhu, alongside key district, military, police, and health officials.
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from government officers, local staff, and villagers, with simultaneous cleanup drives carried out across all villages in the division to foster a clean, responsible, and healthy society.
