On 05.11.2025, a tsunami rehearsal and training was held at Kannankuda Maha Vidyalaya in Batticaloa District, organized by the District Disaster Management Center under Divisional Secretary Mrs. Namasivayam Sathyananthi.
The event involved school students, teachers, disaster management officials, military personnel, and media representatives. Participants were trained on evacuating safely with essential documents, providing assistance during a disaster, and effective communication of information through practical exercises.
