In celebration of International Yoga Day, the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat organized a special yoga awareness and training session on the 27th of June 2025 at the auditorium, under the guidance and approval of Divisional Secretary N. Sathiyananthi.
The event saw active participation from staff grade officials and featured resource persons S. Sritharan, Director of Aiswaryam Yoga Institute; A.Jayakaran, Teacher Instructor of Batticaloa West Education Zone and Head of Aiswaryam Yoga Arts Center; and M. Kamalendran, Yoga Trainer. They delivered insightful sessions and practical training to the attendees.
In a proud moment, two staff members—Mithula Kamalendran, Development Officer, and Ms. Nilani Ramesh, Grama Niladhari Officer—were honored with medals and certificates for their success in yoga competitions conducted by the International Yoga Federation (IUYF). Their achievements were formally recognized during the event.
